Two Weeks Worth Update

The Middle School celebrated their grades feast day of The North American Martyrs on the 26th with a few activities

Thanks to Sr. Marie Vianney, we were able to make some Tepee Cupcakes

which turned out to be fun for all ages

The Junior High, especially, were grateful to be able to decorate with the younger students

And they made some very creative tepees

Here's the School Choir working on voice and breathing techniques this week with Sister

And with our different tone ranges, St. Joseph's Graduate, David, volunteers to help the older boys become more confident with their voices to learn tenor and bass

All classes are still running smoothly and...

We still have some smiling students every now and then

Ms. Isabeau has been a great helper taking some one-on-one time with our students

"Lightning"
(More commonly known as "Bump") has become the students favorite game these last two weeks

Our second grader wanted so much to make a pile of leaves to jump into. Sadly, there weren't enough.

Some mornings we've been blessed with beautiful skies

The Middleville Sisters came in to visit on the 28th and joined in our trip to visit our senior, Nicholas, at his Civil War reenactment.

Decked out in the traditional garb of the time

Performed some drills while having the Sargent explain how soldiers at that time loaded their guns... quite a process.

We even got a history lesson on the different types of flags the Confederates had... learning that the government wouldn't give them one and told them to make their own battle flags instead.

That resulted in each individual war party pretty much making their own flags. There were over 35 of them recovered.

Sunday we had our "Young at Heart" group gathering. We ended up playing cards due to the rainy weather

We taught them how to play "Golf"

Monday has become bread making day. It's been handy to make bread instead of buying it.

This was fun surpise bug that Sister almost put her hand on. It's called a House Centipede but in actuality it only has 15 pairs of legs.
Eww...

A new project has taken place in the classroom... which fast food burger is real and how long does it take to mold...

Archery practices have started and the students are determined to do well

Sister in choir with the students tried some different activities

Students also had fun setting up the new blue screen for picture day

And, of course, just had to test it out!

Just to get an idea of how it works...

Friday was our field trip to Debuck's Farm

With both the students and our parish homeschool families

Some of the attractions included the
Rat Races

Trike Track

Country Hoopin'

Giant Slides

Bubble Station

They made gigantic bubbles

Pull Station

Sand Diggers

Tractor Slide

Lavender Field from the pleasant wagon ride

Gaga Ball and many more...

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time

We finished off Friday by celebrating Fr. Francisco's feast day and took a trip to a nearby lake and met Brenda the duck.

Saturday was our monthly confraternity meeting...

And that about sums up these last two weeks! Have a blessed one!
