Happy New Year! 

Going back, we held St. Nicholas' feast day a little later...

We were able to make a trip down to Colorado for a former students graduation from nursing school 
And saw some more former students from years past 



Hamster update.... 
Felipe is a Russian White Dwarf so that means he changes during the winter time! Look at the difference from August!

Our students were able to sing some Advent Hymns and Christmas Carols for the rehab occupants 
Afterwards they shared some refreshments and conversations 


Just a typical football day but it's always more fun in the snow!

The elementary grades classroom won the battle for the best Christmas Tree. They took the theme from their literature book, "Banner in the Sky" and even made their own ornaments of the main characters and essential hiking items 



The end of school for 2025 consisted in a public viewing of the students Christmas play, "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens


Before Christmas we took a delightful trip to Frankenmuth with a quick visit to the Great Lakes National Cemetery 



December 23rd marked the final touches on the newly assembled garlands and such


We were put in charge of Christmas Eve breakfast so we brought in some recruits to help us wrap some 300 sandwiches!
It was difficult for our 'super' senior not to eat one every now and then...

Breakfast at 1:30 am and a flight home at 6am
Upon returning home from Spokane, our first Sunday Mass was that of the Holy Name of Jesus and we just had to share our parishioners beautiful arrangement  




Back to school Epiphany Party consisted of many games, Saints and sayings and ice skating 


The saran wrap ball game was a big highlight for the students, especially with coupons like a homework pass and some hidden $1 bills


Both students and parents enjoyed the weather during our skating excursion 
It was one of our warmer days this week 






Later that week, the elementary grades accomplished some filming of brain gym exercises
After about 20 minutes of brain gym, some students were quite exhausted...
While the boys, however, were alive and giddy 



Friday Dinner Menu: Ricotta stuffed shells!


While trying to air out some rooms we found some unexpected guests lodging... luckily they were dead but there were a plethora of them!!! 



With Sunday Masses and catechism complete, we have been able to catch up on some thank you's and enjoying some coffee and ginger bread cookies

  Fr. Week Three = Getting 101 Things Finished Before School

Greetings! So for our third week we have been getting some help with the convent landscaping amongst other little things The Elementary Grades classroom has been going under construction with moving and removing many books and we finally found a place that will take a very big cabinet we dismantled from the wall Here's Lucky feeling lucky with her new bedding after a major deep clean of her habitat    We ended up returning Paco after 3 days due to some noticeable neurological problems.  Which brings us to our newest member, Felipe! He's a chunk and absolutely adorable! We have finally got up our chalkboard and decal in the lunch room 💖 We also plan on hanging another chalk board with our monthly school activities and so began the process  This outfit has not been "Sr. Therese Marie Approved" so don't try this at home! A very long process but we're almost finished! The gray material is a felt pin board and let me tell you, it's SUPER sticky!  Not advisable...

It's The Most Busiest Time of the Year!

These last few weeks we have been wrapping up filming our Christmas program and preparing for singing at the Wayne Museum Is that Scrooge doing CAD? Boys getting in their exercise in the midst of filming! "Sister, Sister, watch this!" Sister showing the littles how to improve their culinary skills  Sisters from Middleville came to visit. So we got some coffee and had a crafting day! What Thanksgiving prep looks like... especially when you've used all the bowls in the kitchen. We were able to spend a lovely evening with Fr. Francisco and the Sisters  Ohio beat Michigan... so Bo got a makeover O-H-I-O Last week of filming consisted of a ton of makeup and glitter Practicing lines on the students Training in the newbies  Sister getting Jacob Marley ready  Filming with 3rd graders is fun until they end up knocking down the curtain even after you kindly reminded them to be careful swinging the bag 13 times!
